As soon as I do, then everything is done and it will be my stapled look for all my video. I see that there are a ton of FREE luts that give you the cinematic look but I have yet to find one to my preference. From the sounds of it, it doesn't sound like Cine2 is all that inferior to SLOG for the cinematic look. I use "ITU709" with Cine2 (but haven't finalised on this), but I've seen "Stills" recommended too. To grade them I apply Panasonic's V-Log L LUT and then usually mess with the what you'd call Levels in Photoshop. Sounds like a plan, Log profiles and 8-bits can go wrong.īTW I don't shoot Log on my Sony, but I do on my GH5 as that has 10-bit video. I am going to start off with Cine2, it seems to be easier to work with and I've seen quite a few video samples of this mode on YouTube off this same cam and it looks impressive. I will go with the best FREE lut I can find and then adjust the grading from there. With Cine2, are you able to apply LUTs to it or can you only grade it? (Allows you to correct if you over-exposed by a stop, which can be a good idea.)Īlso Sony has some profiles here (designed for other cameras but should be worth a look). Hang on (well, actually you don't have to).Į.g. There's an online LUT maker that can make a LUT for SLOG. Or you can grade more manually and then add a LUT to give it a "look". You can grade with a LUT if you have a suitable one.
